Ayakashi Triangle Moving to Weekly Shonen Jump!

Kentaro Yabuki’s (known for To Love-Ru and Black Cat) most recent work Ayakashi Triangle will be moving to Weekly Shonen Jump beginning with the next chapter. This will allow Yabuki more creative freedom moving forward because his work is known to be a bit risque, so Shonen Jump will definitely treat the series well! I myself am a more recent fan of the series and look forward to reading more!

Seven Seas, who will be releasing the English volumes, describes the series:

“Teenager Kazamaki Matsuri has long been part of an elite force of ninja exorcists, tasked with fighting malicious ayakashi spirits who threaten Japan–especially those after his childhood friend, the spirit medium Kanade Suzu. As he fiercely protects her, and his relationship with her blooms from friendship into something more, a powerful cat ayakashi vows to get between the lovebirds: by casting a forbidden spell that turns Matsuri into a woman! With no apparent way to undo the spell, Matsuri must continue battling ayakashi–and go back to school–in this new feminine body until he can find a way to turn back.”

Look forward to learning more about the series! We hope you enjoy!

Haikyuu! Final volume illustration. 2020.

Haruichi Furudate, the creator of Haikyuu! will be releasing a one-shot manga to show fans what our favorite characters are up to now in 2022! When the manga ended, we saw the story coming full circle with Hinata becoming the person inspiring young ones to becomes great volleyball players, even if it looks like the odds are being stacked against them!

The one-shot manga will be released April 25th in this year’s 20th issue of SHUEISHA’ Weekly Shonen Jump! So look forward to it!

In the meantime, send some words of encouragement to the author! The form is down below:

The Millionaire Detective: Balance UNLIMITED

“I have… no money.”

– Kambe Daisuke

Millionaire Detective follows two detectives who would typically be an unlikely pair, but they managed to solve the biggest case in the series that caused a series of very unfortunate events. Kambe Daisuke comes from a rich family and has only known a life of luxury. His way of solving any problem was with money, even buying a building just to blow it up so they could solve a case. Even though he appears as some spoiled guy with too much money (his bank account literally says ‘balance unlimited’… how? idk), he actually hides a terrible backstory that opens this show’s plot wide open!

Feel free to check out the series on Funimation!

Kotaro Lives Alone: The title says it all!

Kotaro Lives Alone, 2022.

Kotaro Lives Alone follows the story of 4 year old Kotaro who ends up renting an apartment by himself. As if this wasn’t odd enough, he is able to fully take care of himself and maintain steady rent payments. Although it seems comedic at first, a deeper story of neglect is revealed and Kotaro, with the help of his neighbors begins to realize that he can rely on others and there are people that do care about him. The show is now available on Netflix, so I definitely suggest giving it a watch. Trust me, you will need some tissues because it so wholesome and adorable.

My Dress-Up Darling: Everyone’s new fave Romance anime!

Marin Kitagawa. My Dress Up Darling, 2022.

My Dress Up Darling showed up on the scene with many of us unsure of what to expect. We were all then introduced to Marin Kitagawa and our interest was piqued, or at least MINE was. She is much different compared to the main girls we are used to in shows. She definitely stands out and has a loud personality to match. We look forward to seeing more of her in the future and yes… I will be buying the manga.

Tokyo Revengers currently on hiatus due to one of the workers becoming ill

Tokyo Revengers illustration. Ken Wakui 2021.

It has been reported that parties close to Ken Wakui, creator of Tokyo Revengers, have become ill and therefore must go on an indefinite hiatus. Sources say that they said it would be difficult to continue working while this is going on. We currently have no news of when it will return but we hope that all who have been affected gets well soon. Looking forward to the continued adventures of Takemichi Hanagaki in his quest to save his girlfriend from her future death, as well as the friends he’s made along the way.

Soul Eater: Why A Remake is VERY Necessary

Soul Eater anime adaptation, 2008.

With the recent ending of Fire Force and its ties to Ohkubo’s previously loved series, it has created much more excited uproar for the series. New fans and old fans (like myself) are going back to the series and getting a refresher. In the world of Death meisters and souls, why not bring that world back to fans?

It would be great to get a refreshing anime for the series because, let’s be honest, it didn’t end the way it was intended to. The anime ended way before the manga, causing studio Bones to create an anime only ending for the series. An updated series would not only let us see out favorite characters again, but it’d also give us the intended ending that anime-onlys missed out on back in 2009.

Soul Eater opening theme “resonance” by T.M.Revolution.

Also, if you’re like me, I’d like the same opening theme but with updated art because of today’s new advancements in the anime industry. It’d definitely be spectacle!

What are your thoughts on possibly getting a Soul Eater because of the wave of new fans and popularity?
