COPIC vs OHUHU Markers!

Ohuhu Markers. from the Ohuhu website. Ohuhu.com

If you’re a fan of art and illustration, and even an anime/manga artist, you’ve probably heard of alcohol based markers, most notably Copics. They are the most popular brand of alcohol based markers because of their plethora of colors and easy, seamless blending. Though they are the leading brand, they are also the most expensive! A 72-color set can range from $300-400 anywhere you look! (And yes, even eBay..) Buying them is definitely an investment, not to mention the constant refills after they eventually run out of ink after prolonged use. Even still, it is worth it for artists, like myself. However, there is another competitor that is giving the same quality of work, but much cheaper:

Ohuhu Markers are another brand of alcohol based marker, but buying a 120-color set could run to about $90-100 and THAT is a much better deal. Blending is also great with these markers and they’d be a good way to ease into the medium of alcohol marker art. It is still an investment, but an easier one compared to its expensive competitor. I am new to using Ohuhu myself, but I look forward to learning more about them and seeing if they’re worth sticking with for the long haul!

Soul Eater: Why A Remake is VERY Necessary

Soul Eater anime adaptation, 2008.

With the recent ending of Fire Force and its ties to Ohkubo’s previously loved series, it has created much more excited uproar for the series. New fans and old fans (like myself) are going back to the series and getting a refresher. In the world of Death meisters and souls, why not bring that world back to fans?

It would be great to get a refreshing anime for the series because, let’s be honest, it didn’t end the way it was intended to. The anime ended way before the manga, causing studio Bones to create an anime only ending for the series. An updated series would not only let us see out favorite characters again, but it’d also give us the intended ending that anime-onlys missed out on back in 2009.

Also, if you’re like me, I’d like the same opening theme but with updated art because of today’s new advancements in the anime industry. It’d definitely be spectacle!

What are your thoughts on possibly getting a Soul Eater because of the wave of new fans and popularity?

Fire Force: How to end with a BANG! (Spoilers Below)

The publisher behind Atsushi Ohkubo’s Fire Force and Soul Eater has dropped some major teases for the creator’s next series! Ohkubo began setting up for the end of Fire Force’s run back in 2020. With Fire Force officially coming to an end two years after the creator began prepping for the finale, it seems like the creator might not entirely be as out of the manga creating game as expected as Kodansha is hyping fans up for more.

In the final page of Fore Force’s last chapter in the latest issue of Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine, Kodansha’s editorial asked fans to “look forward to Atsushi Ohkubo’s next work.”

If you haven’t heard by now, Fire Force is finally finished. The hit manga closed this week after years in print, and its final pages were nothing short of perfection. Creator Atsushi Ohkubo took everyone for a spin when the final chapter of Fire Force acted as a prequel to Soul Eater, and it seems the pair have been connected way longer than most fans realized.

Genshin Impact (Chinese: 原神; pinyin: Yuánshén; Japanese: 原神げんしん; rōmaji: Genshin) is an action role-playing game developed by Chinese developer miHoYo, and first published in 2020. The game features an anime-style open-world environment and an action-based battle system using elemental magic and character-switching. The game is free-to-play and is monetized through gacha game mechanics where players can obtain new characters, weapons, and other resources.

The story follows the Traveler, who has traveled across countless worlds with their twin sibling before becoming separated in Teyvat. The Traveler travels in search of the lost sibling with their companion Paimon and becomes involved in the affairs of Teyvat’s nations.
